Deep Web XXX
The Enchanted architect in association with Trash Arts presents an anthology of mostly sexually twisted tales based on a modern controversial topic. The Deep Web or Dark Web is something you may have heard mentioned in regards to the internet. People associate it with illegal pornography, arms and drugs deals or a place where hackers reside to get information to commit online crimes. In the case of this film it serves as an online reservoir for some rather racy bdsm, rape and human experimentation.
The wrap around story is directed by Domiziano Cristopharo and titled Acid. It features a man sitting down to tune into his computer and watch some pornographic content on the deep web. He seems apprehensive as he downloads a browser which brings him to something called the Queen Of Hearts. He also seems to have a card which he gets some information off of to further pursue the content. We then see the different thumbnails which appear on the computers screen and the titles underneath. The man selects each thumbnail and watches the videos and thus we begin the stories within Deep Web XXX.
The first segment titled Queens, No Hearts is directed by Martyna Madej. With most of these segments there is no dialogue so most of the stories featured are like performance pieces of dark art. Queens, No Hearts takes place in a red lit room where a bunch of women have congregated for an evening of debauchery. The women are attending what seems to be a rather sinister masquerade party.
They bring in various male subjects whom they perform a number of humiliating/ degrading acts upon willingly. One of the men is forced to receive anal sex from a dildo not before the big black dildo is slapped against his face much like a woman is treated in any run of the mill porno film. Another male subject has a dildo with a bushy tail forcefully penetrated into his rectum and an S&M style dog mask placed on his head. Finally another male has his mouth spit in by the various women and rubs it in all over his body. In my eyes its basically a role reversal of a male recieving what a woman usually experiences as she performs or is degraded in a porno film.
U.K. indie film maker Jason Impey who has done the rounds and is well known in the scene. He delivers the segment Exposure. Impey’s short plays out as a real life style snuff/torture scenario. A man whose face is blurred out brings a buxom attractive blonde woman into a dilapidated room in a building where he proceeds to sexually torture her.
Not much gore per-say but lots of graphic nudity and mind boggling degradation. One noticeable flaw for me was the obvious plastic prop knife used in one instance. When your making low budget film you roll with what you have so much praise to Impey for overcoming adversity and rolling with his determination and drive to continue in the indie film making field, He gets nothing but respect from me. Jason Impey’s wife Sharon Impey does the effects in this one and delivers some nice mangled nipple violence.
Cruising is a segment directed by Domiziano Cristopharo and probably one of the most shocking and sexually graphic in Deep Web XXX. We get a group of men in an underground fetish club all bound in leather garments. As with previous extreme films Cristopharo relishes in the male perversion side of events. There is an abundance of male nudity here and it is not afraid to pull out all the stops in terms of male sexual perversion. Much like the statement made in Queens, No Hearts with men being treated like women in normal run of the mill pornography why is gay or homosexual pornography no different in this case.
With all the naughty and shocking stuff going on in Cruising in a dark underground male fetish dungeon I notice the music is surprisingly chill and engaging. The male group choose one particular subject who they bound in a fetish swing or harness and continue to administer an anal fist fucking session like none other on the guy. The viewer is spared none of the details in the scene and as ludicrous and extreme as the outcome reveals its visually effective and shocking in delivery.
Eucharist directed by Elisa Carrera Fumagalli features a more religious overtone in delivery as we get a nun who administers some sexual rites in perversion against another woman. The woman is situated similar to that of Jesus Christ on the cross including a thorn like crown. The ritual seems to follow that of a perverted holy communion as the nun masturbates then goes over to the female subject and molests her then returning to take her communion. A short clip, Eucharist mixes religion and sexual perversion.
Test 424 directed by Sam Mason Bell features is probably one of the less sexually graphic of the shorts. It features 3 female subjects who volunteer for an experiment in which they experience some adverse side effects and eventually death. The three female subjects are visually entertaining and do a great job with having no dialogue. They effectively portray the effects of the drug in different time lapse scenarios.
Feed Me More directed by David Pesca plays out like a food fetish and snuff style art film. We get a hooded female who is forcefully fed various food items and eventually executed in a graphic sequence featuring some great and savage make-up effects. Pesca is responsible for the film Tales From Deep Hell which has recently got a release from Black Lava Entertainment. If Feed Me More is any indication of what is in store for Tales From Deep Hell it is definitely something to check out.
Stalker directed by Emanuele Marchetto is probably the my second favorite segment on here besides Cristopharo’s literal male fistfuck. Stalker is a simple yet effective short that manages to unleash a bit of a twist in its short run time. It features a mentally disturbed naked hooded man writhing in anguish as he watches a woman he has recorded on his television. At first I believed he was in desperate need to be with this woman as the title suggests by stalking her as his only means of desperate communication. Then I was deceived and shocked as the next video the man shows on the television is the subsequent torture and murder of the same woman. The money shot in Stalker features the hooded assailant graphically dispatching himself in a scene of self castration.
We conclude with the wrap around story mentioned early directed by Domiziano Cristopharo which features the man watching all of the other segments on the deep web on his laptop. We find out the man is not only visiting the Queen Of Hearts site for mere fascination but other sinister motives are lurking. Acid ties everything together in a conclusion with a nice disposal of a body in an acid burning sequence, an intense wrap up to the anthology.
Deep Web XXX is probably one of the most controversial and sexually graphic anthologies I have ever witnessed. It mixes deviant sexuality with intense violence to deliver an experience like none other. Don’t expect gallons of gore because it is not a gore film, it does feature a number of graphic scenes but as I mentioned they are steeped in sexual torment. Deep Web XXX is a memorable and unique film which makes the viewer feel like they are the one entering the dark side of the web themselves and witnessing the events unfolding before their own eyes.
